Hi dad, There aren’t enough words to describe everything I’d like to say, and in such short time. So I’ve written a poem. I guess in life we never know what may occur, But just one wish to have you here, that I would prefer. Our thousands of memories will always be there, But why can’t there be more, I’ll never understand it’s just not fair. The words you told me were “please stay strong” but you didn’t deserve this it’s all so wrong. There will always be heartache, but I need to remember you for the man you are Stood with a glass of wine and always at the bar. Living your moments by making people laugh, Or complaining about restaurant food and shouting at the staff. Driving round in your posh jaguar car, And let’s not forget singing with your beloved guitar. I grew up as a child believing you were on the TV show ‘popstar’ To find out you were only in the crowd...but dad you’re still my superstar. I’ll never forget how you’ve been the best grandad to my son, Always cutting the grass together and getting jobs done. He talks about you every day and always will, Your grandson, your boy, your little Tyler Hill. You gave me life, you gave me love. I’ll always see your face and look to you up above. Thankyou for everything, but most of all for being you. For being the best dad ever, no matter what through and through. This is not goodbye, this is see you again. Always my hero, forever my dad I love you Carly xxxxxx
